At the time that this portrait series was made, I was completely enamored with the pattern work and electric color patterns of the 1980’s, and I wanted to make some beautiful disasters of my own. I worked away at making vibrant and loud patterns in Illustrator, while in Photoshop I ran wild with color overlays and filters on pictures of myself. The result was a ode to the era, and a colorful declaration of play.
